My first sculpture
Following in the steps of my dad
When I was home over summer I borrowed my dad's old wooden mallet and chisel and carved a figure out of (a very hard) wood.
Challenge
I spent most of summer two week break chiseling away at this block of wood. I eventually managed to get the breasts to line up perfectly with the grain of the wood. I then made a cast of the sculpture and made a plaster copy.
